I'm based in Falcon/Peyton, Colorado.

Hi! I'm Shayla—a Colorado Springs native, mom, photographer, and licensed cosmetologist.

When I’m not capturing memories, you can usually find me:

Immersed in something creative, whether that's painting, sewing, or crafting. I love fueling my days with a favorite sweet drink from Dutch Bros, hitting a beautiful trail, and bringing home a new plant to add to my collection. My perfect evenings are spent winding down doing absolutely nothing but relaxing (potato day), maybe a Movie night with my family or sharing great food and laughs with friends.


I’ve always seen the world a little differently, but it wasn't until a family trip to Peru that I found my medium. With a basic point-and-shoot camera in hand, I became obsessed with perspective, lighting, and chasing unique angles. After returning home, I got my hands on a DSLR, completely taught myself how to shoot in manual, and turned a childhood spark into a full-time photography business. Today, I bring that same curiosity and creative eye to every intimate wedding, elopement, and family milestone I shoot.

They say the people around us shape who we become, and I’m incredibly lucky to have three wonderful humans in my corner. Each of them has helped me grow in their own beautiful way, adding so much depth and warmth to my life. I’m endlessly grateful for the love, lessons, and laughter they bring to my journey every single day.

I’m deeply obsessed with giving back and leaving our community a little warmer than I found it. For me, that looks like stocking my Little Free Library with fresh reads and volunteering my time at the local school. When you choose to work with me, you’re supporting someone who deeply values community, connection, and lifting up the people around us every single day.
